Michael Morpurgo was born in 1943 in England. Before he became a writer he was a primary school teacher. Now he has written over 100 books and won loads of awards.

I enjoyed this book because of the way Morpurgo has written this book.
This book is mainly about a boy who meets a japanese man on a lost island.At the start of the book Michael,the boy has a normal life with a normal family.He really likes football and plays for his school football team the "Mudlarks".One day the factory his dad works at closes down which causes his parents to fall out.His dad sells the car and moves away.After sometime he comes back with an idea.He says he has a surprise for his family.He takes them to see a yacht and suggests they go sailing arond the world like they had always wanted to.At first Michaels mum is unsure of the idea but after a lot of talking she happily agrees.After many months of training they set of on their jourey.on their journey they mainly ate beans.After many months of sailing they get near the Japanese area Michaels parents were sleeping and Michael was keeping watch when he and his dog fell off.The following morning they find out they are on a lost island.They spend their first day searching for food and shelter when they stumble apon a cave.They spend the night in the cave and the following day Michael wakes up and his dog Stella has gone.He discovers that stella is eating fruit and fish which had been left on top of the cave.After a couple of days Michael trys to make a fire to get help when this crazy japanese man comes and puts it out.He tells Michael he is only allowed to stay on one half of the island and is not allowed to swim in the water.After many weeks Michael decides to go swimming in the ocean. He gets stung by a jellyfish and the japenese man rescues him. After many months of recovering Michael becomes friends with the japanese man who is called Kensuke. In the end Michael s parents come and get him.

This week i read michel morphurgo Born To Run it is about this dog who runs away from home and discovers 3 diffrent owners and discovers love.I really enjoyed this book it wasnt wat i would normally read but it was relly good my favourite caracter is the dog !! i would recomend this book for 9 and 10 year olds !!
This week i read a book by Micheal Morpurgo it is called The Butterfly Lion!! Its about a boy who is going to run away from boarding school and he meets this old women and goes to her house! on the way the women tells him a story about a lion and the story is unbileveabel find out more in the butterfly Lion . i enjoyed this book but it was a bit short i would recomend this book for 9 year olds !!!!!!!
Why The Whales Came
This book starts with Daniel And gracie. Two Freinds who Are told never to who Go Near the Bird Man On samson Hill. TBut They Go And Discover That The Bird Man Isnt Crazy. They soon discover that samson is Cursed.Becaused The wales That got stranded Died and since then a curse was cast on the hill. Then For a second Time a whale gets Stranded. and evrey on wants to kill it the bird man explains that another curse will go on the whole Island.
In the end they Free the whale

this book makes me feel sad :'( because its about a litle boy thats goes out to walk the dog called lucky to the park but the gate was open when he opened the door and lucky ran away infront of a car but missed the car but the voy ran infront and got hit he got rushed to hospital to go in a coma ......
not going to tell you the rest because i will ruin the story for you i will rate this book 4 out of 5 stars (****)
